Higher Version Error When Installing LabVIEW 8.X Run-Time Engine Primary Software: LabVIEW Run-Time EnginePrimary Software Version: 8.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: When I download and try to install the LabVIEW 8.X Run-Time Engine, it says that a higher version is already installed. Solution: You may already have it installed. LabVIEW Run-Time Engines 7.X and lower appear in Control Panel » Add/Remove Programs » National Instruments Software. However, 8.X and above do not. Measurement and Automation Explorer (Start » Programs » National Instruments » Measurement and Automation) lists the installed Run-Time Engines versions 8.X. Expand the software tab to find your version.
