Configuring the Ethernet Adapter on a Windows NT PXI/VXI/VME Embedded Controller
Hardware: VXI/VME/MXI>>VME Controllers, VXI/VME/MXI>>VXI Controllers, PXI/CompactPCI>>Controllers
Problem: How do I install support for the integrated ethernet adapter on my VXI/VME or PXI controller running Windows NT?
Solution: This document describes how to install support for integrated ethernet adapters on VXI/VME or PXI controllers with a Windows NT operating system. Information that is specific to a particular model of controller is identified as such.
- Log into the Windows NT using an account that has Administrator level privileges.

- Double click on the Network icon in the Control Panel
- Select the Add button from the Adapters tab in the Network properties dialog panel.

- Select the Have Disk… option from the list of Network Adapters.

- Windows NT will prompt you to enter the directory that contains the driver for the ethernet adapter. The location of this directory depends on the controller model and you will not be able to browse for the directory.

The file path that you should use for each of the VXI/VME and/or PXI controllers is shown in the table below.
