Can I Perform Parallel Acquisition and Processing in Vision Builder for Automated Inspection (VBAI) Using the State Diagram? Primary Software: Vision Builder for Automated InspectionPrimary Software Version: 3.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I noticed that VBAI 3.0 introduced the new state diagram allowing me to create two or more transitions off of any state. Does this mean that I can process two or more images in parallel? Solution: The state diagram in VBAI offers the ability to make choices during an inspection. Any inspection will begin at the starting point of the state diagram, and follow along a single path to the finish. Therefore, only one image can be processed at a time in VBAI. VBAI does offer a means to acquire images from multiple cameras. You can switch between any of the acquired images using the Select Image step, and then process those images in a sequence.
