NI-IMAQ Operating System CompatibilityHardware: Image Acquisition (IMAQ)

Solution: National Instruments Vision Acquisition Software (which includes the NI-IMAQ, IMAQdx, and IMAQ for IEEE 1394 drivers) support a variety of operating systems depending on the version of the driver you have installed. See our Related Links section below to download the latest version of our vision software. You must have a valid license for software versions 8.0 and later. The following sections describe the compatiblity of our driver with the most common operating systems: Windows National Instuments supports a variety of Windows operating systems depending on the version of the driver you are using. The following charts outline the compatibility with various Windows operating systems by board type (a full list including older drivers can be found in the attached image files): Analog Frame Grabber Boards Parallel Digital Frame Grabber Boards Camera Link Frame Grabber Boards NI IMAQ for IEEE 1394 The IMAQ for IEEE 1394 legacy driver is a predecessor to IMAQdx, which is the preferred driver that supports both DCAM compliant IEEE 1394 and GigE cameras.
Macintosh National Instruments no longer supports the Macintosh operating system or the NI PCI-1408 frame grabber card. NI-IMAQ Version 1.0 was the only version of the NI-IMAQ driver designed for Macintosh support.
