Problem:
On my Ultiboard layout I have a number of small copper islands between components and tracks. Can I remove these automatically or must they be removed manually?

Solution:

These copper islands can be removed from the properties page for the copper area.

  1. Double click on the copper layer of interest.
  2. Go to the Copper Areas tab of the properties window.
  3. In the bottom right of this tab there is an area titled Remove Islands. Select the Smaller than: tick box.
  4. To the right of Smaller than: input the required size threshold. All of the copper islands below this size will be removed.
  5. Click Apply to remove the islands.
