Issue Details

I am trying to deploy to my CompactRIO (cRIO) from my LabVIEW Real-Time project. Deployment appears to proceed normally until the end, then I get a "missing deployment plugin" error message (0x80DF001E).
  • I am using the cRIO in Scan Engine Mode. 
  • I am using SoftMotion. 
The error message i am getting is:

LabVIEW:  (Hex 0x80DF001E) The deployment plugin for this item was not found. Please verify that the proper software is installed.
 

Solution

You need to have the corresponding add-ons installed on your cRIO. You can do so from the Add/Remove Software wizard from NI MAX. Refer to the Getting Started with CompactRIO Hardware and LabVIEW tutorial for more information about the setup and installation process for CompactRIO hardware.
  • If you are using the cRIO in Scan Engine Mode you need to install the software set add-on NI IO Scan Engine.
  • If you are using SoftMotion. you need to install LabVIEW SoftMotion Module add-on.

The add-on will appear as in the image below.
