Does VI Logger Use CJC and Auto Zero When Used With the 435x Boards?

Primary Software: Other NI Software>>VI Logger
Primary Software Version: 2.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A
Hardware: Modular Instruments>>High-Precision DAQ (Dataloggers)>>PC-4350

Problem: I just received a 435x board and VI Logger. I am creating traditional DAQ virtual channels to use with VI Logger but I wanted to use the cold junction compensation (CJC) channel and the auto zero channel for more accurate measurements. Can I use CJC and auto zero with VI Logger?

Solution: Yes, you can use CJC and auto zero with VI Logger and the 435x boards. The CJC and auto zero channels are channel 0 and 1 on the 435x signal accessory respectively. First, you will need to go into Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) and add your accessory. Do this by navigating to Devices and Interfaces>>Traditional NI-DAQ Devices, right click on the 435x device and choose properties. From here you will have another window where you will choose the accessory tab. You will now click on the drop down box and choose your 435x accessory. Below is an image of this location in MAX.

Once you have chosen your accessory you will choose 'built-in' for the CJC channel when creating Virtual Channels. Below is an image of this option when creating a virtual channel.

Finally, you will also be able to choose the auto zero setting by right clicking on the virtual channel in MAX, choosing properties and clicking the advanced tab. You will have a field for setting the auto zero mode as shown below.
