Problem: I can't see my third-party CAN hardware in MAX and want to be able to use my NI-CAN channels. Is this possible? Solution: Third-party CAN hardware is not compatible with National Instruments' NI-CAN driver software. The NI-CAN driver was written specifically for National Instruments CAN hardware. Any feature of the NI-CAN driver, such as NI-CAN Channels that are created and configured in Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX), will only work with CAN hardware from National Instruments. Likewise any third-party CAN hardware will not be visible to MAX so you will need to use the third-party software to configure your CAN hardware.
