Changing the Resman Delay of the GPIB-VXI/C Hardware: GPIB>>Plug-in Controllers>>GPIB-VXI/C
Problem: How do I change the Resman delay of the GPIB-VXI/C? Solution: The GPIB-VXI/C is factory configured such that Resman will run immediately following bootup (usually about 2 seconds). When a VXI chassis is powered up, the instruments in the chassis perform a self test which sometimes fails to complete before Resman runs. Therefore, Resman may not see all the instruments in the chassis, and you may need to increase the Resman delay to allow time for the instruments to complete their self tests. The instructions below will show you how to change the Resman delay. To change the Resman delay, you must modify the non-volatile configuration through the serial interface (refer to the related link below for information on how to set up Hyperterminal for the GPIB-VXI/C). With the serial cable connected and Hyperterminal running, power on the chassis. You will see the output of Resman followed by a prompt.
