How Do I Access the DPull Pin on My UMI-7774? Hardware: Motion Control>>Power Drives, Motion Control>>Controllers
Problem: I have a NI 733x, 734x, or 735x Motion Controller connected the the UMI-7774, and I need to change the default power-up state. I know that I need to either connect the DPull pin to ground or to 5V, depending on the state that I want to set, but I do not see any way to access that pin from the UMI-7774. How can I do this? Solution: Currently, the UMI-7774 is set up for easy D-Sub connector access to most of the lines from the motion controller. However, the UMI-7774 does not provide access to every line. The DPull pin (pin 38) is not exposed on the UMI-7774. In order to change the power-up state of the digital (DIO) lines when connecting a NI Motion Controller to a UMI-7774, a custom cable must be used.
