How Do I Call "DSA Calibrate.vi" After Using My DSA Board With NI-DSA

Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-DSA
Primary Software Version: 1.2
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A
Hardware: Modular Instruments>>Dynamic Signal Acquisition and Analysis (DSA)

Problem:
I have been using my board in NI-DSA but would now like to call DSA Calibrate which uses Traditional NI-DAQ. What do I need to do so I can call the board in Traditional NI-DAQ?

Solution:
You need to ensure that both drivers are not calling the device at the same time. Perform the following steps to accomplish this:
  1. Close all NI-DSA sessions that are open to the device using NIDSA Close
  2. Get a taskID to the device in Traditional NI-DAQ by using Get DAQ Device Information (the information acquired is unimportant)
  3. Use the retrieved taskID for DSA Calibrate
  4. Pass the other appropriate parameters for calibration
You will notice three states of the 445x status LED while performing these operations:
  • Slow blinking - After startup, the board's status LED is in the slow blinking state (Traditional NI-DAQ communication)
  • Off - After closing the DSA calls the LED is off (no driver communication)
  • Fast blinking - NI-DSA state - Upon calling the NI-DSA Soft Front Panel or using NI-DSA driver calls, you will notice the LED blink very rapidly (NI-DSA communication)
