Can I Transfer Data Through the Local Bus in the VXI Backplane?Hardware: VXI/VME/MXI>>VXI Controllers
Problem: Can I transfer data through the Local Bus in the VXI backplane? Solution: Yes. VXI modules can use the Local Bus to communicate with each other without using the Data Transfer Bus. It must be noted that the Local Bus connects only adjacent slots and consists of 12 lines between each pair of slots on B-size and C-size modules. However, the use of the local bus is not part of the VXI/VISA software, instead it is completely dependent on whether the hardware (VXI module) supports the transfer of data over the Local Bus.
