Issue Details

I am able to see some of the possible I/O Option Names for my control or constant in LabVIEW, but the DAQmx Terminal Control on the front panel or the DAQmx Terminal Constant on the block diagram does not show the advanced terminals on my device.
For example, I want to use the gate or source of one of the counters directly, or to set the PXI chassis backplane clock as a reference clock for my device, but the options are not explicitly listed in the DAQmx Terminal list. Where are these terminals and how can I make these missing terminals visible?

Solution

In order to show the advanced terminals of your DAQ device, follow these steps:
  1. Right-click the DAQmx Terminal Control or Constant and select I/O Name Filtering....

  1. Enable the Include Advanced Terminals checkbox and click OK.
