LabVIEW RT Fails to Download VIs to My RT Series Data Acquisition Board
Hardware: Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>Real-Time>>PCI-7030/6040E
Problem: I am trying to download a LabVIEW VI to my Real-Time (RT) Series data acquisition (DAQ) board (i.e. PXI-7030/6030E) However, I receive several errors saying that it failed to download several of the subVIs that I used in my top-level VI. What do I do?
Solution: There are several things that could be causing this problem:
- If you have installed a newer version of LabVIEW RT, NI-DAQ, or any other driver files related to your program, you need to make sure you have reset your board. To do this, you must make sure that, when you switch your execution target to your RT DAQ board in LabVIEW RT, you have the Reset device checkbox checked. When you reset your device, the newer versions of the drivers will be downloaded.
- You also might want to try reinstalling your drivers if you are having trouble with a particular set of VIs. For example, you should reinstall NI-DAQ if you are having trouble downloading DAQ VIs.
- Lastly, it could be a hardware problem. You should try switching the slot in either the PXI chassis or the computer that the card is sitting in.
