Can I Programmatically Assign an IP Address to My Real-Time Target? Primary Software: LabVIEW Modules>>Real-Time ModulePrimary Software Version: 8.0.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I would like to be able to programmatically assign an IP address to an unconfigured (0.0.0.0) Real-Time (RT) target. How do I do this? Solution: The RT System Replication tools provide an API that allows you to programmatically configure your RT target, including assigning an IP address to it even though it is in an unconfigured state. Once the RT System Replication tools are installed to LabVIEW, you'll note a VI named Set IP Address.vi. This VI requires the MAC address of the target of interest which can be obtained from the RT Ping Controllers.vi located in the Real-Time palette. Below is the contents of the RT System Replication VIs. For detailed information on the RT System Replication tools as well as to download the tools see the Real-Time Target System Replication link below. Attachments:
