Why is my DMA Data Transfer Slower on the Secondary Ethernet Port of My cRIO-9074 Controller? Hardware: CompactRIO>>Controllers>>cRIO-9052, CompactRIO>>Chassis (Backplanes)
Problem: I am using a cRIO-9074 controller to transfer data to my PC host using direct memory access (DMA). It seems like data transfer is slower using the secondary ethernet port versus using the primary ethernet port. Solution: The cRIO-9074 controller has two ethernet ports. When performing DMA data transfer from the controller to the host PC via the secondary ethernet port, the data transfer rate is approximately half the rate of transfer via the primary ethernet port. This decrease in bandwidth is caused by a PCI bus conflict on the controller.  Related Links: Attachments:
