Proper Error Handling use with the NI 9802

Hardware:

Problem: The error inputs and outputs are off by default on the NI 9802.  Should I use error handling with the NI 9802?

Solution:

As with all File I/O operations, Error handling should be enabled.  To enable error handling for the NI 9802, you must right click on the Method Node and select "Show Error Terminals"

After error handling has been enabled the application should respond to error accordingly.  A listing of CompactRIO Error codes can be found in the LabVIEW Help.
