Unexpected 0V Readings When Using Screw Heads as Contacts Hardware: Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>Connector Blocks, Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>Portable
Problem: When I use a voltmeter to measure the voltage between two screw terminals, I read a voltage near 0V no matter what voltage is currently being output. Why is this? How do I take accurate measurements of my output voltage? Solution: In many situations, the terminal block screws are not a reliable contact point to measure voltage output from the device. A more reliable measurement method is to connect a small jumper wire to each of the chosen output terminals and measure the voltage from the ends of these jumper wires with your voltmeter.
