Set ADC Range On Motion Controller

Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-Motion/FlexMotion
Primary Software Version: 7.0
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A
Hardware: Motion Control>>Controllers>>PCI-7340, Motion Control>>Controllers>>PCI-7330, Motion Control>>Controllers>>PCI-7350

Problem:
I am trying to read an analog voltage on my motion controller using the Read ADC VI. I use the Set ADC Range VI to change the voltage range, but it does not change the value I am reading. Why is the Set ADC Range VI not working and not returning an error?

Solution:

When you change the ADC range while the analog feedback axis is enabled, the controller does return the modal error NIMC_ADCConfigurationError. This error will be returned if you wire the error output of the program to the Motion Error Handler VI which automatically checks for modal error. Using the LabVIEW Error Handler will not show this error.

For the Set ADC Range VI to work, you need to disable the axis before calling this VI.
