My ELVIS DMM in Multisim Has AC Measurements Disabled

Primary Software: Electronics Workbench>>Multisim
Primary Software Version: 10.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: Driver Software>>NI ELVIS Driver VIs

Problem:
I'm using NI-ELVISmx instruments inside Multisim and I want to measure AC signals from my simulated circuit. I'm selecting the NI-ELVISmx DMM but I can't seem to choose any of the AC options, only DC measurements are enabled.

Solution:
This is a limitation of the NI-ELVISmx DMM inside Multisim when simulating circuits. The ELVISmx DMM will disable the AC measurements whenever Multisim is selected as your device target. When you select the ELVIS II hardware as the device target, the DMM will enable all its options.

If your intention is to measure AC signals from within a simulated circuit, as a workaround, you can use the standard Multisim DMM instrument or a Measurement Probe to measure those AC signals.
