Exporting and Importing Scripts Using NI Vision Builder for Automated Inspection

Primary Software: Vision Builder for Automated Inspection
Primary Software Version: 2.6.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
I can save a script, but how can I move a script from one computer to another?

Solution:
To access this feature follow the steps below.
  1. In Configuration View go to File ยป Open to bring up the dialog box below.
  2. From the dialog box, left-click on Tools to choose Import or Export Inspection.
  3. If you are exporting browse to a folder and a new folder will be created.
    • The folder name is created with the date using the following format:
      • two digits for year
      • two digits for the month
      • two digits for the day
      • two digits for multiple saves on the same day
      • For example, 06052400 would mean that the script is the first script saved on May 24th, 2006.
    • Inside the folder there will be two files, info.txt and inspection.bin.
  4. If you are importing, browse to the folder that has a name described in the form of the date mentioned above. Make sure you are in this folder and then select Use Current Dir
