Calling a CVI Test Using LabVIEW Test Executive

Primary Software: LabVIEW Toolkits>>Test Executive
Primary Software Version: 5.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem: How do I call a CVI-built test in the LabVIEW Test Executive?

Solution: To call a CVI-built test from the LabVIEW Test Executive (TE) 5.0:
  1. Compile your CVI-based test into a DLL using C calling conventions.

  2. In the LabVIEW TE 5.0 Sequence Editor, you will see that each step has a "Step Type" attribute. One of the choices is "C Test". If you select "C Test", you will see a new string control called "Function". Enter the name of the function in that control

  3. Press "Select Resource" and find the DLL with the file dialog that appears.
