Why Is My DAQ-STC Counter Returning a -2.5 to 2.5 Signal? Hardware: Counter/Timers (TIO)
Problem: I am using a scope to read the output of my DAQ-STC counter. I know that the signal should be TTL, but I am reading -2.5 to 2.5 volts with my scope. Why is this? Solution: If a scope is reading -2.5 volts to 2.5 volts from the output of a DAQ-STC counter, chances are that the coupling mode is set to AC. This setting centers the signal around 0. To get the correct reading, change the coupling mode to DC. This mode should allow you to read the correct value of 0 to 5 volts. Related Links: Attachments:
