Where Should My PXI-8232 Show Up in MAX? Hardware: GPIB>>Plug-in Controllers>>PXI-8232
Problem: My PXI-8232 is in slot 2 of my PXI chassis. That slot shows up empty in MAX, but I can see a new GPIB card under devices and interfaces. Solution: This is expected behavior. The PXI controller essentially sees the PXI-8232 as an extension of itself. It should show up under devices and interfaces, and slot 2 should show up as empty. You will scan for instruments, create visa aliases, and access the VISA resources in LabVIEW just as if the GPIB card were built into the controller.
