Problem: How do I acquire video from my Sony XC-HR70 with my PCI-1410?

Solution: The PCI-1410 requires an external HSYNC and VSYNC signal from the Sony XC-HR70 in order to capture analog video. You will need some sort of breakout box to connect the HSYNC and VSYNC signal coming from the camera to the HYSNC and VSYNC input on the PCI 1410. National Instruments makes the IMAQ-A6822 breakout box which will allow you to connect this up via BNC. The power supply that Sony supplies with the XC-HR70 provides BNC connections for easy exporting of these signals. You will also need to turn on External HSYNC 0 in Measurement and Automation Explorer.
