Dropping a Measurement Studio Control on a Web Form in Design View Does Not Complete Successfully

Primary Software: Measurement Studio>>Enterprise Edition (Full Development System)
Primary Software Version: 8.1.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
I am creating a new Web site using the Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 project template in Visual C# or Visual Basic. I add a reference to the Web Forms assembly in Design View either by using the Add/Remove Class Library Wizard or by right-clicking on the project. When I add a reference to the Web Forms assembly in Design View and then drop a Measurement Studio control, the control does not drop successfully. How can I work around this?

Solution:
This issue occurs if Visual Studio 2005 completes all its initialization after adding a reference and before dropping the control. If you drop a control immediately after adding a reference, then this behavior does not happen. To fix this issue:
  1. After dropping the control, you must close and re-open the page in the Design View. If you choose to save the page after dropping the control, when the page is re-opened in Design View, you will see a control on the page with the following error message: Error creating control. You must then delete this control.
  2. You can successfully re-drop the control on the page in Design View.
