Multisim crashes when using the Breadboard. Primary Software: Electronics Workbench>>MultisimPrimary Software Version: 9.x Primary Software Fixed Version: 9.x Secondary Software: Electronics Workbench>>Ultiboard
Problem: When trying to use the Multisim Breadboard, the application crashes with an access violation. The crash may occur when the breadboard is opened, when clicking to start placing a wire, or when dragging to place the second end of a wire. While dragging, prior to the crash, the wire may not follow the mouse movement correctly. The stack trace for the crash indicates that the crash occured in "atioglxx.dll". Solution: Upgrade the graphics-card drivers. The version of the driver installed when the crash happened was 6.14.10.6542, which included atioglxx.dll version 6.14.10.5148. Updating to the newest version of the graphics driver (at this time the catalyst 6.11 drivers, driver version 8.31.0.0, which includes atioglxx.dll version 6.14.10.6174) resolves the problem.
