What Is the Maximum Number of Devices and I/O Connections That NI-DNET Can Support?Primary Software: Driver Software>>NI-DNETPrimary Software Version: 1.3.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A Hardware: Industrial Communications>>DeviceNet
Problem: When I run my NI-DNET application I get error NC_ERR_RSRC_LIMITS, which states that my application has exceeded the internal NI-DNET resource limits. The solution is to reduce the number of devices or I/O connections used, or reduce the InputLength or OutputLength used for a given I/O object. What is the maximum number of devices and I/O connections allowed? Solution: NI-DNET can support 64 devices with no more than three I/O connections per device. The amount of memory available for the InputLength and OutputLength is 2 KB each. So, if the amount of memory used for either the Input or Output objects is greater than 2 KB, then you will get the above error message. Related Links: Attachments:
