Expansion/Meaning of DIAdem

Problem:
Does DIAdem have an expansion? And if not, what does it mean and how did the name come about?

Solution:
Earlier there was a software called DIA which was designed for the DOS operating system.

The name came from the German word "Diagramm" which literally means a graph or a chart.

However, when Windows was launched, we developed a new software application to be compatible with the new OS. To name the software, we looked for a name that would reflect that the functionality was improved and yet still come from the DIA origin. So the name DIAdem was adopted, which is the German word for "crown", and this was never changed.
