Problem: What does an "RFR Reception Error" indicate?

Solution: The NI-FBUS Monitor will report different reception errors for problems with transmission/receipt of packets. These reception errors are typically preceded by some acronym describing exactly what type of reception error (for instance, RFR)

The RFR error indicates a Receiving FRame error. The monitor detected a corrupt data frame on the bus. This can result either from noise on the bus or from two devices trying to transmit at the same time.

All devices on the fieldbus which comply with the Foundation Fieldbus specifications should be capable of automatically recovering from these framing errors.
