LKS File Fails to Compile in Lookout 5.1, but Compiles in Lookout 4.5 and 5.0.Primary Software: LookoutPrimary Software Version: 5.1 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software:
Problem: If I compile my process file in Lookout 5.1, Lookout generates compiling errors such as "c:\myprocess.lks (20):error: Not a member of '$Alarm':'Print.ack'." But the same LKS file can be compiled in older versions of Lookout. Solution: The LKS file does not compile because it has a conflicting name for an alarm area. Lookout 4.5 and 5.0 allowed you to create alarm areas that conflicted with existing data members. Version 5.1 of Lookout has been improved to prevent the creation of Alarm Area names that conflict with the names of its native data members such as print, active, ack, priority, etc. For instance, if you attempt to assign an Alarm Area in "Edit Data Member Configuration" with the name Print, you will receive the 'Invalid Alarm area name' message. To eliminate compiling errors like the one above, modify the LKS file by changing the names of any Alarm Areas that conflict with names of native data members. Related Links: Attachments:
