I Get Error -1445 When I Run Example Programs from the Sound and Vibration Toolkit Using LabVIEW 8.0

Problem:
When I try to run example programs installed with the Sound and Vibration Toolkit (SVT) version 3.1 in LabVIEW 8.0 I get error -1445. I uninstalled and reinstalled the toolkit but that didn’t change anything. The installation didn’t have any problems. How can I get the SVT version 3.1 to work with LabVIEW 8.0?

Solution:
The error -1445 occurs using the SVT versions 2.0, 3.0, and 3.1 with LabVIEW 8.0.
This error is generated by the svx_Set Panel Size.vi or INIT as shown on the Block Diagram below and it is returned because the example tries to open a VI by specifying the example VI name in the path datatype instance of the Open VI Reference.

This error can be fixed by modifying the svx_Set Panel Size VI and removing the string to path conversion VI in from of the VI path input to Open VI Reference.
To do this: Double click on the INIT icon circled above and open the Block Diagram.

Remove the String to Path located before the Open VI Reference. After modifying the file, it should look as shown below. Save and close the svx_Set Panel Size VI. Now all the examples should work properly.
