LabVIEW Internet Toolkit G Web Server (HTTP Server) Runs Very SlowlyPrimary Software: LabVIEW Toolkits>>Internet Developers ToolkitPrimary Software Version: 5.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I can successfully launch the G Web Server (HTTP Server for Internet Toolkit 5.0 or older), but it takes an unusually long time to return requests for HTML pages and image requests such as .snap and .monitor. Sometimes it takes several minutes to return the page I request. What causes these delays?Solution: The G Web Server is trying to use DNS to look up hostnames but cannot find a DNS server, which causes significant delays. If you do not have access to a DNS server, disable DNS lookup on the G Web Server. Complete the following steps to disable DNS lookup.
If you are using version 5.0 or older of the Internet Toolkit, access the HTTP Server Configuration dialog box from the Tools menu. In LabVIEW 5.x, select Project»Internet Toolkit»Internet Toolkit Configuration (ITK 5.0) or Project»Internet Toolkit »Configuration»HTTP Server Configuration (Internet Toolkit 4.0.1).
