NI PXI-2533/2534 Switch Connectivity

Hardware: Switches>>Multiplexer/Matrix>>PXI-2534, Switches>>Multiplexer/Matrix>>PXI-2533

Problem:
I have an NI PXI-2533 or PXI-2534 switch and would like to know how to connect my signals to it. What are my options?

Solution:
The NI PXI-2533/2534 breaks out switch connections to a single 68-pin SCSI connector. You have two connectivity options that both provide screw-terminal connections: front-mounting or remote connectivity.

For front-mounting, use:
  • NI TB-2633 for the NI PXI-2533
  • NI TB-2637 for the NI PXI-2534

For remote connectivity, use:

  • NI SH68-68S cable connected to the NI TBX-68, a DIN-rail-mountable terminal block. See the attachments for pin assignments of the NI TBX-68.

More detailed information about connecting signals to these modules can be found in the Developer Zone articles linked below.

Note: All the NI switch pinouts can be found in the NI Switches Help file. Please see the linked KnowledgeBase for details.
