Do I need to Install Support for Shared Variable on TPC-2012?

Problem:
I have an application using shared variables developed to run on TPC-2012. However, the install option on the project explorer is only available for ARM-based processor. How do I install support for shared variable on TPC-2012?

Solution:
The TPC-2012 is an x86-based processor and comes with preinstalled support for shared variable. Hence, you do not need to install support for shared variable on TPC-2012.

If you install support for shared variable using the (ARM) option, then each time you power on or reboot the TPC-2012, it will always prompt to keep or replace the existing installation files. These files include the nitaglvpda.dll, lkdynamic.dll, lksec.dll and lksock.dll.

To remove this installation,

  1. Browse to HardDisk\wince\Config\ on the TPC 2012
  2. Delete the National Instruments LabVIEW 8.2 Shared Variable Support.CAB
  3. Reboot the TPC-2012
