After I Activate my Software, Can I Move the Software to Another Machine? Primary Software: Other NI Software>>NI License ManagerPrimary Software Version: 3.3 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I have installed and activated my National Instruments software on one machine. Now I need to move the software to another machine. Can I move my software? If so, how is activation affected? Solution: For software that was released with LabVIEW 8.0 and later: Our licensing policy now offers named-user licenses. With named-user licensing, the license is tied to a single user. That user may install and activate the National Instruments Software on up to 3 business computers along with a home machine. Only that user may execute the software, and the software can only be executing on one machine at a time. Using this licensing model, you can install and use the NI software on up to three business machines without needing to uninstall the software. If you need to use the software on a fourth machine, you must first uninstall the software from one of the three other machines. Once the software is installed on the fourth machine, you can follow the same activation procedure that was used for previous activations. For more information on determining which licensing model is the right for you, consult the Licensing Options Page. For software released previous to LabVIEW 8.0: You can install the software on another machine. You must uninstall the software from the old machine. When you install on the new machine, simply follow the same activation process that you completed the first time you installed. Remember to follow the software licensing agreement by having only one active copy of your software installed at a time.
