CVI Crashes Because Installation is Missing visainfo.ini

Problem:
When I attempt to launch the LabWindows/CVI environment after installation, I receive the following error message:


and the environment promptly crashes.  How can I prevent this from happening?

Solution:
First, attempt a repair of your CVI installation by choosing Control Panel » Add or Remove Programs » National Instruments Software and opting to repair the Development System that you have installed.

If this is unsuccessful, download the attached visainfo.ini file.  Close the environment and place the file in the <CVI>\bin folder on your hard drive.  Relaunch CVI and the environment should start normally.
