Switching from NI-DAQmx Base to NI-DAQmx for Low Cost USB devices

Problem: NI-DAQmx 7.5 supports the USB-6008, USB-6009, and USB-6501 on Windows. If you have applications written using NI-DAQmx Base and would like to convert these applications to use NI-DAQmx, refer to the instructions below.

Solution:


NI-DAQmx Base application written in LabVIEW
If you are simply using an NI-DAQmx Base shipping example, you should be able to find an equivalent NI-DAQmx example in the LabVIEW Example Finder. Additionally, you can replace your NI-DAQmx Base VIs with appropriate NI-DAQmx VIs. You can use the NI-DAQmx Base to NI-DAQmx Conversion Utility (link below) to replace appropriate VIs automatically, or you can perform the replacement manually.

NI-DAQmx Base application written in C

1. Perform a search for "daqmxbase" and replace with "daqmx". This will update any NI-DAQmx Base functions with appropriate NI-DAQmx functions.
   
2. Add the necessary include and library files paths
   For Microsoft Visual C, refer to step 1) in the attached document
   
3. Add the DAQmx library module
   For Microsoft Visual C, refer to step 2) in the attached document
