When Using NI LM to look at the Volume License Server, Why is the Server Icon Red?Primary Software: Other NI Software>>NI Volume License ManagerPrimary Software Version: 1.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: N/A
Problem: I am a client of NI Volume License Manager. In order to use my software products, I was granted permission by the administrator of NI Volume License Manager. However, when I look at NI License Manager, there is an entry for my Volume License server but the icon is red indicating that the server is not working. I can still access and run my software programs. Why is this? Solution: The servers that appear in NI Volume License Manager will only appear green if those servers are running locally on that machine. Since NI Volume License Manager server is running on another machine, the server appears in the list, but the icon is red because the server is not running locally on the client machine. For a server icon to appear green, that computer would be serving up those licenses for other client users. Related Links: NI Volume License Manager FAQ Attachments:
