How do I Create a Scale for the SCXI-1122 Module?Hardware: SCXI>>Modules>>SCXI-1122
Problem: I am trying to assign a custom scale to a NI-DAQ Virtual Channel for one of the channels on my SCXI-1122 module. When I right click on the Virtual Channel and select its Properties I am not given the option of setting a Scaling Formula. Solution: The SCXI-1122 module does not support custom scales in Virtual Channels. The device supplies gain to each channel based on the range of inputs specified in hardware. Therefore, the gain for each channel is not set by jumpers but by the software. In order to find the amount of gain applied to each of the channels based on the range, reference the Data Sheet linked at the bottom of this document. Even though users can not create a custom scale for their channels they can still manipulate the value by using LabView. They can create a VI that accepts the channel as an input, manipulates the value in the same way a custom scale would, and outputs the manipulated value.
