Why do I Receive Error Code -200220 When Running a Data Acquisition Program?Primary Software: LabVIEW Development Systems>>LabVIEW Base PackagePrimary Software Version: 1.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: Driver Software>>NI-DAQmx
Problem: I built a LabVIEW program using the DAQ Assistant. When I run this VI on another computer I receive Error -200220 occurred at DAQmx Create Channel... I know that my device works on this computer. I have used the test panels in Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) and the device responds correctly. I also have the same versions of DAQmx on each computer. Why do I get this error message? Solution: This error message can be cause by having the wrong device name. The device name needs to be the same as the name inside the executable. The device name that the executable is calling for is listed in the error dialog box as Device Specified. You will need to change the name of your device to match this one. You will need to open MAX by selecting Start » Programs » National Instruments » Measurement and Automation Explorer. Then you will need to navigate to your device in the configuration tree by selecting My System » Devices and Interfaces » DAQmx Devices » Your Device.
To change the name Right-click the device and select Rename. Change the name to DevX where X is the number that was listed in the error dialog box. Note: If another device already has the name you want, you will need to change it first.
