How Can I Hide a Page on My Tab Control?

Primary Software:
Primary Software Version: 7.1
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem:
I have a tab control with several pages. When I right-click on the page tab, Advanced » Hide Page is grayed-out. How can I hide a certain page of my tab control?

Solution:
Each tab control on the front panel of a VI has a default page associated with it. Typically, this is the first page of a tab control; however, any page of a tab control can be set as the default value. The "Page Visible Property" shows or hides individual pages of a tab control. If you hide the default page, the next page becomes the default page. If the only visible page is the default page, you cannot hide the default page.

To set which page is the default for a tab control,

  1. Left-click the tab for that page with the Operating tool on the front panel. This selects the page you want to set as the default value for the tab control.

  2. Right-click the tab for the current page and select Data Operations » Make Current Value Default. This sets the current page shown on the tab control as the default page. Thus, you will no longer be able to hide this page.
For more information about the "Page Visible Property" or properties of the tab control in general, refer to the LabVIEW help file or the related links below.
