Error Message When Writing a Value in FieldPoint Explorer

Primary Software: Driver Software>>FieldPoint Explorer
Primary Software Version: 2.0.4
Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A
Secondary Software: N/A

Problem: When I try to write a value (for example, 0.001 or 0.010) in FieldPoint Explorer, I get the following status message: "Value is outside of the current range." Why do I get this message and what do I need to change?

Solution: FieldPoint Explorer is treating the two values, 0.001 and 0.010, as 1 A and 10 A instead of 1 mA and 10 mA because of the Regional Settings on your computer. There are two solutions to this problem. You either need to change the regional settings or enter 0,001 and 0,010.

To change the Regional Settings, follow these steps:
  1. Open Regional Settings (Start»Settings»Control Panel»Regional Settings).
  2. Click the Number tab.
  3. Change the Decimal Symbol to a period, ".", instead of a comma, ",".
