Timeout Error -301096 Using the ECU Measurement and Calibration Toolkit With a Series 1 NI-CAN board

Problem:
I am using the ECU Measurement and Calibration toolkit with a Series 1 NI-CAN board, and I get Error -301096, a timeout error, when I try to run any of the shipping examples. How do I get rid of this error?

Solution:
This error occurs because the RAM on the Series 1 boards is slower than the RAM on the Series 2 boards. Because of this, the boards are sometimes unable to keep up with the tight timing required for master-slave communication with the ECU toolkit.

To get rid of the error, you can increase the timeout by at least a factor of 10, using the "set timing factor" VI. Note that this VI is not located on the functions palette, and can only be accessed from the labview\vi.lib\ECUMC directory.
