What Are the Dimensions of the Compact FieldPoint I/O Modules? Hardware: FieldPoint
Problem: I would like to build an enclosure for my Compact FieldPoint system. The operating instructions give dimensions for the FieldPoint modules, but what are the dimensions for the Compact FieldPoint modules? Solution: When creating an enclosure for your Compact FieldPoint bank, the module’s size actually has no relevance because the space should be defined by your controller plus your backplane. This is the main reason why we do not indicate all the dimensions of the Compact FieldPoint I/O modules in the operating instructions. However, the graphic below contains the dimensions of a Compact FieldPoint I/O module. This is a simplified version with the main dimensions indicated in the picture. The detailed design and dimensions are National Instruments' proprietary information.
