Why Does the cRIO Hangs when Resetting the Controller with System Reset?

Hardware: CompactRIO

Problem:
When I set the System Reset IO to TRUE on the FPGA, my cRIO hangs. Why does this happen?

Solution:
Setting the System Reset IO to TRUE will only reset the controller not the FPGA. The FPGA will still be running its code, therefore it is possible for the FPGA to constantly reset the controller.

You would have to make sure that System Reset IO is setback to FALSE after resetting the controller.
