SCXI_ModuleID_Read Returns Error in Trad DAQ 7.x

Problem:

Using Traditional NI-DAQ 7.x, I am getting an unexpected result after calling:

SCXI_ModuleID_Read(SCXIchassisID, moduleSlot, ModuleID)

This function used to work fine when I had an older version of Traditional NI-DAQ (Version 6.9.3 or older) but now the return value is -1. The help says that the communication path is likely broken. What is wrong?

Solution:

This is a known issue that was introduced in NI-DAQ 7.0. You can work around it by adding a call to SCXI_Load_Config(SCXIchassisID).
