Installing Calibration Executive with TestStand 1.0 and TestStand 2.0. Primary Software: Calibration ExecutivePrimary Software Version: 2.0 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software:
Problem: I'm using Calibration Executive and I want to install TestStand Sequence editor 1.0 and 2.0. Is there a way to install these programs in the same computer? Solution: The key to installing these programs lies in TestStand's 2.0 ability to be installed along with a previous version of TestStand. To accomplish this, the programs need to be installed in the following order:
At this point you will have both TestStand 1.0.3 and 2.0 files, in separate directories. Applications that use the TestStand Engine, locate it using the Windows registry. However, only one version of the TestStand engine can be referenced at a time. The TestStand 2.0 installer copies an executable file named TsVerSelect.exe (usually located in \\National Instruments\Shared\TestStand), which allows you to change the active TestStand version in your workstation. Calibration Executive and the sequence editor 1.0 use the TestStand Engine 1.0, so before running any of these application set the active TestStand Engine version to be 1.0. If you are going to use Sequence Editor 2.0, change the active TestStand Engine version.
