Why Does My AT/ISA DAQ Board Show Up As Two Devices Under Device Manager?Hardware: Multifunction DAQ (MIO)>>E Series>>AT-MIO-64E-3
Problem: When I go into Windows device manager, my MIO AT device shows up as two devices. Why is this happening and is this behavior correct? Solution: The ISA bus only allows two DMA channels per ISA slot, so the AT device shows up twice in the Device Manager because the AT device reserves three DMA channels. The first entry reserves 2 channels and 1 IRQ while the second entry reserves the third DMA channel and no IRQ. So this behavior is correct and expected.
