Unexpected behavior pattern by using the Microsoft Forms Controls in DIAdem user dialog boxes (SUD) Primary Software: DIAdemPrimary Software Version: 10 Primary Software Fixed Version: N/A Secondary Software: DIAdem
Problem: If you use the Microsoft Forms Controls in DIAdem user dialog boxes (SUD), unexpected behavior patterns or crashes might occur. When Microsoft created these controls, it did not plan the use of the controls in non-Microsoft applications. Microsoft points this out explicitly. Quotation: “NOTE: The use of these Microsoft Forms components in your own compiled applications, such as those written with Microsoft Visual C++ and Microsoft Visual Basic, is not recommended or supported. These controls were designed and tested to work exclusively within Microsoft Office and its Visual Basic for Applications environment.” Please refer to the web page: „INFO: Usage and Redistribution of FM20.DLL“ http://support.microsoft.com/?scid=kb%3Ben-us%3B224305&x=10&y=11 Solution: We do not recommend the use of these ActiveX Controls in DIAdem user dialog boxes. In stead use the controls that are delivered directly with DIAdem and that are offered in the dialog editor. Related Links: Attachments:
